Bodegas San Alejandro Miedes Rose, Catalayud, Spain
Readers rated this wine:
Pretty, floral, racy.
Made from Garnacha, this petal pink and rose gold glinted rose is pretty. Notes of violets and strawberries, raspberries and vanilla with hints of licorice and orange pekoe tea. It has racy acidity, and a bight and lifted fruit on the palate too.
Low in sugars, sulfites, histamines; vegan wine

Value, fruity, approachable.

It has a briary character, black raspberry and blackberry are rounded out with dried roses, baking spices, licorice and garrigue. The palate is juicy and sweet with high-toned red and purple fruits, bergamot and tealeaf. A straightforward and fruity red that offers impressive value.

Readers rated this wine:
Impressive, spicy, harmonious.
Produced by Chateau Canet in Languedoc, the Cote Lavande labels pay homage to French Art Deco travel posters of the 20s and 30s.
The Merlot is spicy and chocolaty; dark purple fruits mingle with violets and earthy notes. Impressive balance at this price point; it is fresh, medium-bodied, with ripe tannins and flavours of leather, tealeaf, and dried cherries on the finish.
Excellent value.

Pale salmon in colour with rose gold glints, it offers jasmine and lilacs, blood oranges and peach pit, red summer berries and sweet spices. The palate is tart and quite simple but dry and zesty. It finishes with juicy red berries.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Undressed.

Chateau Canet "Cote Lavande" Sauvignon Blanc, Pays d'Oc, France
Readers rated this wine:
Tangy, savoury, light. Produced by Chateau Canet in Languedoc, the Cote Lavande labels pay homage to French Art Deco travel posters of the 20s and 30s.
Aromas of crunchy white fruits and tangy citrus are layered with savoury roasted herbs and fleur de sel. On the palate, gooseberry and lime flavours dominate; there is a hint of minerality here too. It is light-bodied and refreshing; a quaffable white with an attractive price tag.
