Chateau Canet "Cote Lavande" Merlot, Pays d'Oc, France
Readers rated this wine:
Impressive, spicy, harmonious.
Produced by Chateau Canet in Languedoc, the Cote Lavande labels pay homage to French Art Deco travel posters of the 20s and 30s. The Merlot is spicy and chocolaty; dark purple fruits mingle with violets and earthy notes. Impressive balance at this price point; it is fresh, medium-bodied, with ripe tannins and flavours of leather, tealeaf, and dried cherries on the finish.
