Gerard Bertrand 'Cote des Roses', Languedoc France
Readers rated this wine:
Pretty, slick, stylish.
Here is a stunning vessel filled with a pastel pink blushing wine made from Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. This Valentine's Day worthy rose (or any other day of the year really) offers tart red berries and kumquats, violets and rose petal aromas. It is dry and juicy with a slick texture and flavours of charred orange peel, tealeaf, fine spice and red berries. Don't let the pretty bottle fool you, this is a serious and stylish wine.

Gerard Bertrand 'Grand Terroir Les Aspres' Syrah~Mourvedre~Grenache, Cotes du Roussillon, France
Readers rated this wine:
Velvety, powerful, inky.
This velvety blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre is inky and plush with aromas of black raspberry and black cherry, vanilla, wildflowers, silky chocolate, licorice and pipe tobacco. The palate is equally lush; it is rustic yet elegant, complex and powerful. There is some tannic chew and the finish lingers with coffee, peppery spices and tobacco flavours.

Gerard Bertrand 'Orange Gold', France
Readers rated this wine:
Ancient, slick, singular.
This singular orange organic wine is inspired by the sun and sea and those first 'orange' wines made dome 4500 years ago in Georgia; it's made from Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Mauzac, Muscat and Clairette.
Notes of honey and orange pekoe tea, quince jelly, apricot sorbet and chamomile lead to a palate of bitter orange, tealeaf, dried apricots and arugula flavours. It's a clean wine with a slick texture and notable persistence.
Curries, Moroccan dishes, strong cheeses

New review: April 2021
Velvety aromas of wild black berries and plums are layered with concord grapes, garrigue, fine spices and black pepper. It is fresh and balanced, woven and savoury. Black sunwarmed fruit flavours meld with peppery spice and earth. Concentrated, smooth and lengthy.

Velvety, woven, concentrated.
This velvety blend of Grenache and Mourvedre doles out appealing notes of wild black berries and black plums, savoury spiced, garrigue and fine white pepper with undertones of concord grapes. It's deftly woven, fresh and savoury with concentration and balance. Flavours of dark sun-warmed fruit are layered with spice, tobacco and coffee. The finish is long, the tannins smooth.
