Delicious, tangy, joyful.
Now with three tiers of rose wines, Mission Hill's reserve tier blush is made from almost equal parts Merlot, Shiraz and Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in Osoyoos and Oliver. According to Corrie Krehbiel, head winemaker, 2020 was one of the most idyllic vintages of her career, however 2021 was one of the most challenging of Mission Hill's 40 years due to extreme heat and climactic conditions; many wines are limited due to low yields. I'd say this 2021 rose fared well for such a tough year. Also, all top tiers of Mission Hill's Wines are now certified organic.
Pale dusty pink it features sweet ruby grapefruits and mandarin orange aromas punctuated with strawberry jellies and honeydew melon.
Tangy cherry and cranberry flavours are underscored by more pink grapefruit. Juicy, buoyant, and quite joyful; a delicious rose.
