Stag's Hollow Albarino, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Vibrant, juicy, tangy. A vibrant and willowy white with aromas of crunchy orchard fruits and pomelo with a pretty floral talc note. Tangy and lip-smacking with attractive savoury/saline and mineral layers on the palate. Acidity is the backbone of this food-friendly wine, the texture creates additional interest.
Pair: seafood and molluscs are a given, but also creamy goat cheese, salads and sushi.

Stag's Hollow Blanc de Noirs, Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley
Readers rated this wine:
Bright, oaky, toasted.
This pale onion-skin blush is made from estate Pinot Noir and Gamay grown in the new sub-GI of Okanagan Falls (designated last year) where Stag's Hollow is located. Aromas of toasted spices, peach stone, charred orange peel, cedar, vanilla and spring blossoms are deeply underscored by oaky notes. Oak plays a dominant role on the palate and is distracting, but the acid is bright and the finish mouthwatering.
Recommended with: white meats, cream sauces, mushroom dishes, popcorn, corn chowder, crab, fish with lemon cream sauce, lobster with butter.

Stag's Hollow Blanc de Noirs, Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Juicy, berries, suppleness.
The third vintage of Stag's Hollow Blanc de Noirs was made specifically with less oak influence than previous version, which was a smart decision.
Still a pale rosy-gold hue like previous vintages the 2020 Pinot Noir grapes were hand-harvested from the Stag's Hollow Vineyards in the Okanagan Falls sub-GI.
It had minimal maceration time and the juice was blended and transferred gently into a stainless steel tank, where it was cold settled for 48 hours. It was then racked into two new 500L French oak puncheons, and one stainless steel tank. Immediately after a cool fermentation, half of the barrel-fermented portion was transferred sur-lie into stainless steel barrels for regular batonnage. After 3 months the final wine was stabilized, filtered and bottled.
Charred orange peel aromas are woven with cedar chips, red currents, strawberry, finely ground white pepper and dried herbs. The palate is juicy and brimming with tangy red fruits, kumquats and toasted spice. It's off-dry with lovely suppleness, concentration and persistence.
Pair: white meats, cream sauces, mushroom dishes, salmon, and veggie burgers.
