Moon Curser Dolcetto, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Charming, juicy, silky.
Dolcetto, aka little sweet one, is a rare find outside of Piedmont, but is a delightful regular in Moon Curser's portfolio of rarities. Unencumbered by any oak contact, the 2022 suggests juicy notes of red cherry and strawberry, fine spice and dried rose petals, bacon fat and earth. It has a silky entry with berry and leather, spice and tobacco flavours. Notably fresh in the mouth.
A friendly wine with a fresh finish that benefits from a slight chill before service.

Charming, bouncy, jolly.
A rare find, outside of Italy, this fresh and unoaked Dolcetto, has a jolly purple hue and brims with juicy cherries, dried botanical, vanilla, hibiscus and has grapey undertones. The palate is equally bouncy; high-toned fruit and fine chalky tannins
dominate the palate. It is a charming red and great for summer when chilled. ©copyright 2018 Daenna Van Mulligen
