Clos du Soleil 'Celestiale', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Clos du Soleil's signature red is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec (44/40/10/3/3%). It delivers earthy blackberry and black cherry aromas surrounded by coffee, sweet brown spices, plumcake and vanilla. It has a solid backbone - great structure with fruit supported with espresso beans and spice. Nice finesse and evolution in the glass. Don't expect cookie-cutter red blend but one you can put in the cellar for 5-7 years if desired.
Pair with hearty pasta dishes, aged cheeses, grilled meats and roasted root vegetables. Free delivery on direct purchase from online shopping at Clos du Soleil Winery ©copyright 2013 Daenna Van Mulligen

Clos du Soleil 'Celestiale', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Brooding, toasted, balance.
Clos du Soleil's Celestiale red is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. It delivers a brooding nose of rich chocolate, espresso, wild black berries, toasted spice and dried herbs. The colour is starting to turn slightly to brick, it is a leaner style than I remember of previous vintages. The fruit is somewhat tangy with tart red plums and red currents with tobacco. Good overall balance and persistence but aging quickly - drink now.
Pair: Hearty pasta dishes, aged cheeses, grilled meats and roasted root vegetables. ©copyright 2015 Daenna Van Mulligen

Plush, balance, spice .
Clos du Soleil's Celestiale red is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Plush smoked cherry, rich mocha, spice and leqthery aromas are doled out with exuberance. It has great balance is has plenty of spice but is starting to show its some age. Likely best to drink now rather than hold for too much longer.
Pair: Hearty pasta dishes, aged cheeses, grilled meats and roasted root vegetables.
