Louis Jadot 'Combe aux Jacques' Beaujolais~Villages, France
Readers rated this wine:
Charming, classic, juicy.
This always charming Gamay doles out aromatic plum and cherry, star anise and violets, warm cocoa alongside tealeaf, fine spices and forest floor. The palate is an echo of the nose; classic, medium-bodied and juicy it has a primary earthy character.

Louis Jadot 'Couvent des Jacobins' Chardonnay, Bourgogne France
Readers rated this wine:
Golden, toasted, elegant.
Value is relative, but as far as a bottle of wine, which drinks like it costs more than it does, well that's value in my books. This blend of Chardonnay from the Cote d'Or and Maconnais and it is aged partially in oak and the rest in stainless steel. I could drink this wine every day. It is golden in colour and offers notes of toasted hazelnuts, acacia, lively citrus with grilled yellow apples and spice atop toasted pastries. The palate follows with golden fruits, hazelnuts and honey with an elegant weight and refreshing acidity.
Pair: White meats and oily fish, soft-medium cheeses and creamy pastas. ©copyright 2015 Daenna Van Mulligen

Louis Jadot 'Couvent des Jacobins' Chardonnay, Bourgogne France
Readers rated this wine:
Woven, fresh, creamy.
The Couvent des Jacobins Chardonnay hails from the Cote d'Or and Maconnais; it is aged partially in oak and the rest in stainless steel.
Expect attractive notes of Jonagold apple and hazelnuts, lemon wax and straw, wet stone and acacia, which lead to a palate that is fresh with a slick weight. Creamy yellow fruit, nuts and sweet spice flavours dominate on this vintage. Wonderfully woven and fresh.

Louis Jadot 'Couvent des Jacobins' Chardonnay, Bourgogne France
Readers rated this wine:
Honey, golden, lively.
Expect attractive notes of apple turnovers, yellow pears, hazelnuts, lemon curds and honey followed with browned butter and some toasted oak undertones. The palate is concentrated and similarly attired with nuts, citrus and creamy golden fruits. It is lively and mouthwatering with just a hint of creaminess to take the edge off.

Louis Jadot 'Couvent des Jacobins' Pinot Noir, Bourgogne France
Readers rated this wine:
Classic, fresh, lovely.
Choosing a red Burgundy isn't an easy task without a good deal of knowledge of the appellations and producers, prices aren't conducive for a try and see. So a moderately priced and approachable Bourgogne like the Couvent des Jacobins would be my easy recommendation under $40.
The 2022 has quite a plush and fragrant nose of cherry, raspberry, vanilla, violets, pipe tobacco and cedar. It has good guts; lovely red berry, fine spice and tea flavours lead the palate. It starts out silky then gathers grip across the palate. Quite a substantial Pinot but with good classic Pinot bones. The finish trails tealeaf, cocoa, leather and spice flavours.
