Peppery, smooth, approachable.
Peppery and spicy, blackberries ad vanilla with cedar aromas lead to a palate that is smooth and approachable with fine white pepper and smooth tannins. A solid wine, perfect for roasted meats and grilled foods or cheese fondue.

Expect aromas of toasted spices, black currents and plums, oak spice, licorice and licorice room spray. The palate is approachable and straightforward with strong cocoa flavours on a medium finish. Good fruit and good value, but lacks brightness overall.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive

Jackson-Triggs Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon~Shiraz, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
A value blend of Cabernet and Shiraz that doles out violet pastilles, blackberries and black plums, spiced cocoa and white pepper aromas. Toasted oak and spice dominate the palate but are also not too distracting; fresh with good structure and supple fruit, it has a generous feel and a toasted finish
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper

Kim Crawford 'Wild Grace' Chardonnay, Hawke's Bay New Zealand
Readers rated this wine:
Complex, spicy, succulent.
While Chardonnay never went out of style for many, this resurgence of interest in the variety is making for some very interesting styles - generally less overt oak, more freshness but also reductive styles and those with a lot of lees contact and stirring. It all depends on the winemaking style.
This select parcel Hawke's Bay version, underwent fermentation with wild (indigenous) yeasts, then it went through partial secondary fermentation and lees stirring. Expect succulent aromas of smoked spices, apple walnut turnovers and dried pear slices, grilled lemons and sweet butter slathered on toast. It is juicy and creamy, bright and complex with a subtle toasted spice finish.
Wonderful.
