Powerful, meaty, brawny.
High Note is a new winery located on the Naramata Bench sub-GI and they have another vineyard in the South Okanagan.
This blend is made of Similkameen Valley Merlot with South Okanagan Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. The blend was aged in French oak barrique.
It's a powerful wine delivering notes of chocolate and black raspberry, espresso, blueberry, brown spices, pipe tobacco, dried roses, vanilla and licorice. Fleshy and fresh the palate is textural and muscular; wild berries, leather and chocolate flavours dominate. Brawny and quite tannic it has a bold spicy/meaty finish.
