Balance, juicy, tangy.
Stoneboat, located on the Black Sage Bench in Oliver is now owned by Valley Commons, a winery established in the District Wine Village--also in Oliver-- in 2021. It is owned by Rudy Verhoeff and Kyla Richey, former professional volleyball athletes. Both wineries fall under the Verhoeff Group of Companies, which is headed by Paul Verhoeff, Rudy's father. The family also owns a flooring company, a brewery and restaurants in the Fraser Valley.
This Pinot Noir rose is a pale salmony pink and delivers tangy red berry, rhubarb and dried floral aromas layered with orange peel and peach stone with a hint of forest floor. Juicy red fruits are described on the palate, it has a kiss of sweetness and brazen acidity. Good length and balance overall.
