Opulent, supple, fragrant.
The Halos de Jupiter wines are a collaboration between the southern Rhone’s renowned oenologist Philippe Cambie, and talented winemaker Michel Gassier. It's a story of friendship and shared passions; rugby, gastronomy, and Rhone wines, particularly those from Grenache. For Michel and Philippe, Grenache is the king of varietals of the southern Rhone.
I'll drink to that!
Together, they selected the appellations that offer Grenache the potential to reveal the its unique and intrinsic qualities: Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Cotes du Rhone and Costieres de Nimes. Dedicated to the highest quality, these wines from some of the Valley’s best winegrowers, express their respect for the land and Michel and Philippe’s search for a hedonistic balance.
This version, the Cotes du Rhone comes from complementary of terroirs from both banks of the Rhône River: Signargues, Cairanne and Rasteau. The constellation of Libra adorn its label.
It has an opulent approach-ability; black raspberry and vanilla, violets, cedar chips, sweetened espresso, creamy chocolate and licorice. The palate is supple but fresh, there's generosity of fruit and it has a woven liqueur-like intensity.
Delicious.
