Miller Road Vineyard is also on the Black Sage Bench and is planted with Riesling and Merlot. The Border Vineyard is on the Osoyoos West Bench and is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
The wines are made by Pascal Madevon--formerly of Osoyoos Larose.
This is the inaugural release of Upper Case wines.
The Pinot Gris comes from Osoyoos and Summerland, it was mainly stainless steel fermented with 16% of it being fermented in barrel. Expect fleshy notes of pears and honey, spring blossoms and quite earthy undertones of bacon fat and mushrooms. It's a fresh and lively wine, juicy and quite substantial with concentration and a zesty finish. It's a white that drinks like a red.
