Valley Commons is a winery established in the District Wine Village in Oliver in 2021. It is owned by Rudy Verhoeff and Kyla Richey, former professional volleyball athletes. They also purchased Stoneboat, an established winery on the Black Sage Gravelbar, also in Oliver. Both wineries fall under the Verhoeff Group of Companies, which is headed by Paul Verhoeff, Rudy's father. The family also owns a flooring company, a brewery and restaurants in the Fraser Valley.
A blend of Pinot Nor and Gamay from small block vineyards this fragrant red delivers red cherry and wildflowers, raspberry, licorice and pipe tobacco aromas. It's silky, fresh and medium-bodied with expressive fruit flavours layered with leather, cocoa and spice. It pops with a slight chill before serving.
