Supple, generous, plush.
Located on the Golden Mile Bench sub-GI in Oliver, Hester Creek is one of a small number of wieries that have vineyards under the designation.
The Syrah is sourced from both Oliver and Osoyoos, so it falls under the Okanagan Valley designation. The 2019 was co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier and was aged on fine lees for 12 months in American (60%) and French (40%) oak barrels.
It has a garnet ruby hue and sweet vanilla, black cherry, sarsaparilla and chocolate aromas and a whiff of cotton candy. The palate is supple with generous fruit, oak spice, vanilla, chocolate dipped black cherries and plum cake flavours. It's a supple and fleshy wine with a warm (14.5% ABV) cola finish.
