Fragrant, silky, concentrated.
Valley Commons is a winery established in the District Wine Village in Oliver in 2021. It is owned by Rudy Verhoeff and Kyla Richey, former professional volleyball athletes. They also purchased Stoneboat, an established winery on the Black Sage Gravelbar, also in Oliver. Both wineries fall under the Verhoeff Group of Companies, which is headed by Paul Verhoeff, Rudy's father. The family also owns a flooring company, a brewery and restaurants in the Fraser Valley.
Pinotage is a South African cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, developed in 1925, its rarely seen outside of that country.
This blend of 51% Muscat, 22% Viognier and 27% Pinot Gris doles out fragrant apricot and peach, honey, melon, lime and spice aromas. It's off-dry and spicy, quite powerful and silky with a bold lime and grapefruity finish.
