Lakeside Cellars is a 14-acre estate on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos. It rests on what used to be the Haynes Homestead. Unable to save the existing structure, new owners Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal used parts of the historic estate when building their new tasting room in 2016.
This particular wine, a blend of Cabernet Franc (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Merlot (30%) was aged in neutral French and American oak for 24 months.
Notes of cedar dust and violets are layered with baking spice, cherry licorice, black raspberry, cocoa nibs, smoked paprika and pipe tobacco. It has s supple entry and notable concentration with balanced freshness. Toasted spice, cocoa and espresso are woven with flavours of small black fruits. It has texture and structure.
