Natural, zesty, creamy.
Pursuing a sense of place and embracing vintage variation, Free Form wines are made from organic grapes, native yeast and are free of additives. These wines are fermented in concrete tanks or clay amphorae. Extended skin contact is used, followed by a gentle pressing and further rest before bottling. They are free of rough handling and commercial additives, and contain little to no sulfites.
The Vin Gris is whole bunch pressed organic Pinot Noir from Garnet Valley Ranch remains white due to no skin contact between juice and skins. It was fermented and aged in concrete tanks.
Star fruit and dusty red berries, tealeaf, orange rind and crushed stone flavours lead to a zesty palate. Dry with a creamy textural weight (thanks to lees aging) it's a restrained wine with suggestions of earth, mineral and citrus.
