Value, peppery, organic.
The vineyard for this wine is planted 1200 meters above sea level in Tupungato Valley and it comes from organically grown grapes. It's been a consistent player in our market for many years and provides solid value. The nose offers peppery notes with black cherries, black currents, vanilla, baking spices, tealeaf and leather. The palate echoes the nose with sweet spices, generous ripe purple berries, and dark chocolate flavours, which roll into silky tannins.
A red to pair with hearty pastas or red meats.
Second Review, November 2017:
Forest berries and toasted spices, quite restrained with plenty of tobacco undertones. Fresh black currents, spicy and succulent with significant maturity for the vintage.
