NEW, restrained, umami.
Chic Fille is the first wine from JoieFarm proprietor and winemaker, Heidi Noble’s side label; the term translates to pretty girl or cool girl.
Made entirely of Pinot Meunier and in a natural method, Chic Fille is the result of practices she's been playing with for a decade: native fermentations, lees contact and semi-carbonic fermentations, for example.
Because of the ongoing success of Noble's JoieFarm rose, it stands to reason her first of this side label also be. Chalky ruby in colour it has a distinct umami character. Here the aromas are red cherries and rhubarb, clay and candied strawberry with undertones of herbs and garden greens. Tart red berries, tealeaf and cedar palate flavours are restrained; the finish is mouthwatering.
Only 50 cases were made.
