Buoyant, pristine, fresh.
This vintage of Michael Bartier's consistently outstanding pink is differs in composition each vintage and this 2021 is 4% Syrah, with 25% Pinot Gris, 30% Chardonnay and 41% Gewurztraminer; the grapes were hand harvested from the home estate Cerquiera Vineyard on the Black Sage Terrace in Oliver, BC and their second vineyard in Summerland. The cuvee spent 3 months in stainless steel sitting on yeast lees.
A light salmon-pink it has a wonderfully fresh nose of sweet summer berries, peach, honeysuckle and fresh mountain stream with just a hint of cedar and tealeaf. Pristine and dry it has a lovely mouthfeel and buoyant character. Its exceedingly quaffable and trails flavours of blood oranges and wild herbs.
