Fresh, toasted, zesty.
The family heirloom known as Covert Farms, is a 650-acre multi-functional estate that was established in 1959 at McIntyre Bluff.
This is the first ever Chardonnay produced by Covert; the vines, planted in 2007 are rooted in estate glaciofluvial sedimentary soils and was fermented in stainless (75%) and French oak (25%) barrels.Expect aromas of warm pineapples drizzled in honey, warm lemon meringue pie, apple pie slices and vague nutty undertones. On the palate flavours of charred lemon peel, grilled yellow apples, brown spice and roasted hazelnut dominate. It's fresh and zesty with a fleshy weight.
