Consistent, fleshy, fresh.
I've long been a fan of South Africa's Chenin Blancs - they come in many guises and the Spier is a great starting point - it's equally affordable and tasty.
I've been reviewing this wine for a decade and its consistency is notable.
In the 2020, aromas of white peaches and spring flowers, melon, orange zest and honey lead to an equally fleshy palate that is zesty, sweet and supple. It has weight, freshness and concentration with just a hint of vanilla and spice; the finish is lengthy. At this price it's a buy-by-the-case kinda bottle.
