Stag's Hollow is located in the Okanagan Falls sub-GI and celebrated 25 years in 2020.
This classically styled Pinot was made from estate grown Dijon 115, 667, 777, 828 and Pommard clone grapes that were grown in the estate Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard. The components (clones) were all vinified and aged in 300L French oak (16% new) barrels for 12 months prior to blending.
It has a finer frame than its Stag's Hollow Vineyard sibling of the same vintage; raspberry and cherry aromas are layered with steamed carrot tops, tealeaf, wet clay, violets, blueberry branch and vanilla. The palate is earthier with notable umami flavours. It has a silky texture and svelteness, the finish trails fleur de sel and tealeaf.
