Cassini Cellars 'Collector's Series Quattro' Okangan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Generous, concentrated, fresh.
Cassini Cellars has always had a good amount of late release wines (at prices that aren't silly), which means, less cellaring for you. This vintage - a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc, is concentrated with ripe blackberries and purple fruits, chocolate, vanilla, licorice and pipe tobacco. It is still lifted and fresh but with time has woven together quite nicely. Smoky, spicy, toasty and quite meaty flavours lead to a supple chocolaty finish. Good generosity overall. ©copyright 2017 Daenna Van Mulligen

Cassini Cellars 'Collector's Series' Maximus, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Second review: Savoury aromas of smoked meat and black fruit (plum and berries), peppery spices and bittersweet chocolate with undertones of roasted herbs, molasses and dried cherry. The palate follows suit - savoury and dark with plenty of spiced dark chocolate mocha and earthy flavours. A concentrated wine with good length. ©copyright 2011 Daenna Van Mulligen Wine Scores Reviewed - January 12th, 2011
This Okanagan Bordeaux-style blend is comprised of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec and I think that this vintage's addition of Cabernet Franc makes it even better than last year. A luscious fruit bowl of black currents, plums and black cherries are layered with chocolate and spice, vanilla liqueur and coffee aromas. Wonderful structure on the palate is the base for concentrated dark fruit, green olives, mocha and toasted oak flavours. Smoothly textured and lengthy with roasted coffee and spice flavours lingering on the finish. Bravo!

Expect engaging aromas of pencil shavings and sarsaparilla, black raspberry and black cherries, coconut and brown spices. It is supple and opulent; mocha, cedar and tobacco flavours linger. Excellent balance, nicely knit, and lengthy.

Opulent, generous, intense.
Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon from the Milestone Vineyards, which was whittled down to 8 barrels from a potential of 45. It is an opulent wine (as Cassini is known for) with aromas of licorice, plush mocha, pencil shavings, rich cassis, pipe tobacco, sweet spices and wild sage. The palate is laden with generous blue/purple fruits and chocolate-liqueur flavours. Intense and sumptuous.

Fragrant, creamy, rich.
The reserve Chardonnay is rich and fragrant with acacia flowers, pear compote, smoked spices, honey and vanilla aromas. The palate is an echo of the nose; creamy weight, gutsy flavours and a long spicy finish. Excellent structure and balance make this is a serious contender for your new favourite premium Chardy.
