Bench 1775 Cabernet Franc~Malbec, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Bench 1775 was started by Paradise Ranch founder James Stewart who purchased the former Soaring Eagle Estate winery in 2011. The company was re-branded as Bench 1775 and benefits from Val Tait as winemaker and GM. This unique blend is undeniably savoury; smoked meat, roasted bell peppers an toasted spice are buoyed by wild black currents and plum aromas. Supple in weight, intense in character, it has plenty of black fruit, spice and tealeaf flavours. Good balance here, a solid wine.
