Frescobaldi has over 700 years of winemaking history - truly impressive, even by Old World standards.
Tenuta Perano is located in Gaiole in Chianti at 500masl. The exposure and elevation of the vineyard imparts a radiant purple hue, intense fruit and tannic structure. It is predominantly Sangiovese as expected and was aged 12 months in a combination od stainless and oak barriques.
Notes of plum and cherry, vanilla and licorice are lashed with roses, sweet brown spices and chocolate.It's a suppe winr with notable generosity. Coffee, dark chocolate, toasted spice and espresso flavours dominate. It has a powerful finish with firm chalky tannins.
Pair: Mediterranean dishes, cured or grilled meats and tomato based sauces.
