Second review: January 2021Riesling, Rotbergerm Pinot Noir and Malbec come together to make this frolicking rose gold pink. Fragrant notes of strawberry, tangerine, cherries and honey lead to a juicy off-dry palate that is fresh and flirty. It's a quaffer, a joyful wine with good weight and loads of personality.

Fun, approachable, juicy.
A blushing pink with aromas of tangerine, peaches, honey and maraschino cherries that roll into an off-dry palate. Pristine and juicy in the mouth it doles out candied strawberry and tangy pink grapefruit flavours.
Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Malbec, Rotberger, Pinot Gris and Riesling.

Warm, buttery, golden.
Intrigue Wines, located in Lake Country north of Kelowna, specializes in approachable aromatic wines.
Winemaker Roger Wong's Chardonnay suggests a nose brimming with toasted spices and hazelnuts, apple sauce and warm buttered baguettes. The palate mimics the nose; it is slick, warm and spiced with sweet golden fruit, but equally good levity. A solid style, not overly oaky but with notable sweetness.

Purity, fresh, pretty.
Intrigue Wines, located in Lake Country north of Kelowna, specializes in approachable aromatic wines.
Winemaker Roger Wong's Reserve Chardonnay (at a very manageable 12.5% alcohol) is a fresh version; orchard fruits and honeysuckle, orange peel, young pineapple and lemongrass. It has a juicy entry and lovely purity; pineapple, tangerine ad yellow apple flavours dominate the palate.

Second Review; May 2020
Smoked tobacco aromas are layered with dried cherries, prune, cocoa, licorice root, wet straw and waxed leather notes. It has a distinctly savoury palate; smoked spices, a mix of black and red forest berries, charcuterie and finely ground black pepper. The finish trails black coffee and charred oak flavours. Still fresh but there's been some maturity in the last few months.

Intrigue Winery is located in Lake Country in the north of the Okanagan Valley but their reserve red (50% Cabernet Sauvignon followed by Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Syrah and Merlot) comes from vines growing in the semi-arid south, in Oliver.
Fermented in stainless steel it spent 18-months maturing in oak it leads with red and black currents, concord grapes and vanilla aromas, which roll into smoked meat, bay leaf, black pepper, carob, green bean and soy sauce notes. Echoing the nose, flavours of dark carob, espresso, brown spices and wild fruit flavours dominate the palate with tobacco trailing on the finish. Nice freshness here and the finish is smooth.
