Blasted Church 'Hatfield's Fuse' Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Aromatic, creamy, bright.
The Hatfield's Fuse is an aromatic proprietary blend of numerous white varieties.
It doles out notes of orchard fruits, pineapple chunks, creamy caramel, pralines and fine spices. The palate follows suit with a creamy texture, attractive weight on the tongue and citrus flavours to brighten. I see some oak influence coming through on the finish, but it is not distracting.
Pair: fish & chips, crab cakes or spicy noodle salads.

Blasted Church 'Nectar of the Gods'. Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Muscular, supple, savoury.
This is a premium blend of 49% Petit Verdot harvested from Oliver and Osoyoos, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from Blasted Church’s estate vineyard on the Skaha Bench, and 11% Cot Noir (Malbec) from Osoyoos. It’s a muscular, slightly brooding wine with aromas of black currents, smoked cherries, vanilla, cocoa, leather and toasted spice. Flavours of bacon fat, wild herbs, tealeaf, dark chocolate and spice linger on a supple palate with polished tannins. ©copyright 2019 Daenna Van Mulligen

Blasted Church Merlot, Okangan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
always get a kick out of the Blasted Church labels and the Merlot is no exception. On the nose, you can expect chocolate, vanilla, sweet spices, grill green bell peppers and leather atop a meaty, savoury core. In the mouth, flavours of dusty plums, cocoa and spice. Good acidity here, but with some astingency. ©copyright 2013 Daenna Van Mulligen

Blasted Church Pinot Gris, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Fragrant, creamy, concentrated.
A fragrant Pinot Gris, tempting with creamed pears, honey, straw flowers and just a suggestion of spice. Expect good concentration a creamy weight and slick fruity palate, which culminates in a bright tangerine finish.
Pair: crab cakes topped with spicy peach salsa, caramelized onion and gruyere crostini, turkey or chicken salad. ©copyright 2017 Daenna Van Mulligen

Blasted Church Vineyards 'Hatfield's Fuse' Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Slick, creamy, fleshy.
The Hatfield's Fuse is an aromatic proprietary blend ( the XXXIX is Viognier, Chardonnay Musque, Semillon, Optima, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer), that I've not tasted since the 2016 vintage. Creamy and very ripe yellow fruit flavours are layered with grilled lemon, leesy notes and coddled egg yolk and brulee. It has a similar over-ripe palate that is fleshy and off-dry. Slick in texture, it has concentration and a pithy and spicy finish. Seems cumbersome.
Pair: fish & chips, crab cakes or spicy noodle salads.
