Fresh, smooth, savoury.
An organic blend of Malbec and Corvina (the most important grape of Valpolicella), which is part appasimento (utilizing withered grapes), and thereby paying homage to Masi's home of Valpolicella, and the Ripasso Recioto and Amarone wines made there.
It is perfumed with pretty aromas of violets, cherries, licorice, cedar, graphite and tealeaf. The palate is a bit leaner this vintage; medium-bodied, smooth and fresh it trails spice, espresso and tealeaf on the finish.
Pair:Roasted meats, strongly flavoured and mature cheeses or mushroom stuffed ravioli.
