The plastic PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottle has finally arrived in BC and I think this may be the perfect carry-along picnic wine. Unbreakable, more compact, lighter (which means 85% less waste than your typical glass wine bottle and less fuel and less transport emissions) and screw capped!
The Cabernet has cherry and smoked berry aromas, leather, earth, tobacco and a hint of green bell peppers. On the palate it's earthy and intense with smooth tannins on the finish.
Besides...you won't accidentally smash the bottle when you drop it on the sidewalk on the way home.
