Satisfying, fresh, traditional.
Through a process of drying grapes called appassimento, this wine and others like it become much more concentrated. The Campofiorin continues the tradition of using classic Veronese grape varieties to produce this aromatic red blend.
Expect sunbaked earth, dried rose petals, espresso, dark chocolate, sweet and savoury spices, cedar chips and tobacco on the nose. It is fresh (the concentration is slightly less than the 2009 vintage) with flavours of dark powdery mocha, dried cherries and prune plums with spiced espresso on the finish.
A satisfying red made for food.
Pair: risotto, grilled meats, hearty pastas and aged cheeses
