Organic, raspberry, fresh.
Da Vero is an organic wine made by Araldica, a third-generation, family-operated co-operative based in Piedmont, Italy. Araldica has expanded their winemaking projects, working with local farmers and growers throughout Italy to produce well-priced still and sparkling wines from local grape varietals in regions such as Veneto, Lombardy, Abruzzo and Sicily.
The grapes are sourced from the area around Salemi (Province of Trapani) on the north-west tip of Sicily. The vines are grow at around 250m altitude on a combination of soil types. The vineyards were converted to organic viticulture in 2007.
Made entirely from Nero d'Avola it coveys sweet raspberry and vanilla, licorice, smoked paprika and baking spice aromas. It is rustic and earthy, medium-bodied but fresh with restrained tangy fruit; raspberry tea and bitter greens flavours trail across a mid-length finish.
