Firm, juicy, tart.
The Okanagan Crush Pad was opened in 2011 as a home for OCP's own label and as a custom crush for other small labels who were in need of winery facilities.
Today they have four in-house labels including Narrative, which was named to tell the story of what is most exciting about the Okanagan Valley: geological and climatic diversity in a wine region that spans 120km from north to south...
This Viognier dominant (80%) ruby-red rose is blended with 20% Syrah and was fermented in open top stainless steel tanks. Notes of cherry juice and wildberries, tealeaf, bitter orange, white pepper and wet earth are mimicked on the palate in a muddle of tart red fruit, orange peel and tealeaf.
It's a firm wine, it drinks like a juicy red, needs a chill and is best served with food.
Pair cheese fondue or ratatouille, pizza, hearty pastas and soups or BBQ.
