Concentrated, supple, delicious.
This Southern Rhone blend of Syrah with Grenache is a consistently delicious red, vintage after vintage; it's freshness is due to fermentation and aging (8 months) in stainless steel vats.
The 2018 expresses black raspberry, cherry twizzler, vanilla, fennel, mocha and cola spice aromas. Sweet berry flavours mimic the nose along with spice and licorice. Great concentration, opulent yet fresh with a bit of texture on the finish.
Classic French Mediterranean cuisine, stuffed veg, aged cheeses, slow roasted meats and hearty tomato based sauces pair well.
Second Review: December 2020
Black raspberries and cherry, vanilla, licorice, baking spices and sweet mocha aromas float atop earth and garrigue notes. Supple with expressive fruit, spice and pipe tobacco flavours it has lovely concentration and balance. A consistently enjoyable red.
