A fantastic repeat of Harry McWatters' Chardonnay, which comes from the Sundial Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench.
Expect aromas of creamy pears and fragrant tangerines, fresh butter, pineapple and honeysuckle layered with fine spice. It has a silky palate and creamy weight with loads of sweet buttery flavours, brown spice and caramel hints. Deftly handled oak will please both camps (lovers of full-bodied, oaked Chardonnay and those who prefer more restraint) and it has a lengthy, elegant finish.
Recommended pairings: Saffron mussels in cream and Chardonnay broth, grilled Dungeness crab and brie brioche, roast chicken and creamy pastas.
