Expressive, racy, stylish.
Lariana Cellars is an Osoyoos estate owned by Dan and Carol Scott.
I'm a big fan of Viognier to begin with, but I like them chic with a bit of restraint, ergo not flabby. Viogner is a notoriously hard grape to deal with, it needs to hang longer than other whites and can easily become over-ripe and unctuous, lacking acidity.
It's a stylish offering, presenting pristine Meyer lemon, fresh ginger, peach and guava with exotic spices. It is also a fresh style, more tangy than oily with excellent fruit expression supported by some smoky and mineral characters. Racy acidity and good persistence.
