Harmony, honesty, freshness.
Without doubt, Michael Bartier is one of British Columbia's most talented and humble winemakers. His style in not opulent or powerful, it is honest; he trusts the site and the fruit to dictate the wine. This wine comes from fruit grown on the Black Sage gravel bar in the Cerqueira Vineyard is unfined and fermented with native yeasts.
This Cabernet Franc (with 11% Merlot) is a consistently harmonious wine; aromas of wild berries, and spices, vanilla and cocoa aromas are anchored by an earthy core. On the palate, expect notable levity and suppleness. Excellent structure and length, there is a mineral quality to the tannins.
