Value, classic, bright.
Grapes for this Malbec (blended with 4% Cabernet) are grown on an estate vineyard in the region of Agrelo, which rests at 950 meters above sea level, and planted roughly 60 kilometers from Mendoza city.
Like most others from Mendoza, this wine offers good value.
The nose offers classic espresso and dark chocolate, peppery spices, licorice and is lifted with wild berries and dried cherries. It is supple and spicy, approachable, with a silky texture. Bright acidity adds levity to charry flavours, which are underscored by bitter chocolate, toast, dark espresso.
A simplistic red, with a notably warm finish. Suited to hearty stews or soups, hard cheeses or dense protein dishes.
