Haywire

Haywire 'Canyonview Vineyard' Pinot Noir, Okangan Valley
Readers rated this wine:
Such an elegant, but thoroughly delicious Pinot Noir.
Black raspberries and cherry, saddle leather, violets and cocoa, dried sage and sweet spices with tealeaf. On the palate, tangy pomegranate leads the charge with spice, cocoa and vanilla. It boasts a silky palate and sweet high-toned fruit with a charming, juicy character and good persistence.

Haywire 'Crush Pad Red' Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:

The Haywire box trio offers you a fine selection of easy access wines, which have a handy tap. A box is worth four (count 'em, four) bottles - great for lazy people like me, or if you're off to the cottage!
The blue box, is a red blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and smells sweet and spicy. Black cherries, sunwarmed berries, vanilla, licorice and violets with a hint of orange peel and sweet spice. It is medium-bodied and juicy with plenty of the same berry and spice flavours you get on the nose.
An approachable red, great for a crowd, but don't serve it too warm, this is a wine, which benefits from just a little chill.
Look for the red box (a Gamay rose) and the green box (a white blend).
Serve with a party, with burgers, pizza, spicy sausage on a bun and the likes...

Haywire 'Crush Pad White', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:

Here's a (not so) Haywire blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris.
This colourful box is equal to 4 bottles - just slide it into your fridge and you have your own tap!
Of course I love this concept - it's less packaging (good), less stockpiling (good), and perfect for lazy wine pourers like me (good).
It's a straightforward white, fresh and fruity with hints of honey, herbs, orchard fruits and even some spice on the nose. It's not lacking weight in the mouth - honey dominates the palate followed with citrus, nectarine, pear and apple flavours. It's a dry wine with a mouthwatering finish.
Look for the Crush Pad Red and Crush Pad Rose bag-in-box as well!
Sip solo or partner with: appetizers, cheese and olives, fish, salads... you get the drift...

Haywire 'Crush Pad' Rose, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:

Okanagan Crush Pad's Haywire, has taken bag-in-box to a whole new level.
Forget your preconceived notions of bag-in-box and get ready for the summer! This chic (and environmentally friendly) lineup of boxes from Haywire come in three lively colours/flavours - white (green box), red (blue box) and this rose, made from 100% Gamay.
It's a light salmony pink and offers bright rhubarb, red berry and fine spice notes. Light-bodied with a kiss of sweetness, which balanced with crisp acidity; flavours of tart red fruit, cedar and spice are layered with citrus peel. It has a snappy, mouthwatering finish.
Perfect for fish, summer salads, white meats, artisan pizzas when camping, sailing or just hanging out on your patio.

Haywire 'Pink Bub', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
This was my first crack at the Pink Bub from Summerland-based Okanagan Crush Pad and Haywire. I was tickled pink at the cherry blossom hue and delicate aromas.
It's a traditional blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and it presents a bouquet of red cherry, raspberry, Satsuma oranges, peach blossoms and freesia. An attractive mousse carries fruity and floral flavours - think candied violets, berries and sweet citrus with a vague note of white pepper. It does have a lick of sweetness (6g/L if you care about that stuff) but well managed by lively acidity
It is fun, flirty and utterly girlie and will pair very well with a fresh baguette, soft cheese and fruit compote.
