Sandhill Sauvignon Blanc, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Zesty, mouthwatering, floral
Sandhill wines are made from seven unique BC vineyards: Sandhill Estate (Oliver), King Family (Penticton), Phantom Creek (Oliver), Osprey Ridge (Oliver), Hidden Terrace (Oliver, behind McIntyre Bluff), Carsoroso (Kelowna), and Vanessa Vineyard (Similkameen Valley).
This Sauvignon Blanc comes from grapes harvested from the Sandhill and Hidden Terrace Vineyards and is more floral and fruity, than a typically more verdant New Zealand style. Expect aromas of wildflowers and wet stone, star fruit, green apples, grass clippings, peach stone and snap peas. It's a mouthwatering option with nice structure, a hint of grassiness, yellow fruit and peach flavours, which are underscored by citrus. ©copyright 2022 Daenna Van Mulligen
