Falernia Rose, Elqui Valley, Chile
Readers rated this wine:
Pale, earthy, dry.
From Chile's northernmost winemaking region of Elqui this pale pinky-peach rose is made from Syrah with no-skin contact during fermentation, ergo, the watery hue. It's dominated by earthy and herbal flavours; tart wild red berries, rhubarb, bitter orange and faint spice aromas lead to a lean palate with somewhat oxidative and bruised fruit and yuzu flavours. A totally dry rose that will benefit from a food pairing; cheese, oily fish or charcuterie. ©copyright 2020 Daenna Van Mulligen
