Cecchi Chianti, Tuscany, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, classic, rustic.
Bottled at the Cecchi winery in the Chianti Classico sub-region of Castellina in Chianti, this value Chianti (not a classico) delivers sour cherries, dried strawberry, saddle leather, cocoa, cigar and fine spice aromas. It's fresh and medium-bodied with pleasing notes of forest berries, tobacco and spice.
Smooth on the tongue, it's a rustic and slightly watered-down version, but at the price, it's a great value dinner red, perfect with tomato sauces, bean and vegetable soups, pizza and salami. ©copyright 2020 Daenna Van Mulligen
