Second Review: Oct 2016
Bacon fat and black wild berries, dusty cherries and strawberry compote, smoked meat and spices with a whiff of iodine. On the palate the fruit falls secondary to earthy tones, it has cigarbox, dark cocoa nibs and espresso. Textural tannins, bright acidity and a brooding character. ©copyright 2015 Daenna Van Mulligen Wine Scores Reviewed - November 12th, 2015
Cherry, spice, textural.
Awesome value. A blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo & Carinena that was matured on barrel for 24 months before substantial bottle age. Expect sweet ripe cherries and wild black raspberry, vanilla, saddle leather and spice with grapey undertones. Great intensity on the entry with fine spice, cocoa and tobacco. The fruit has fallen off on the palate, but it is still very fresh with fine, textural tannins across the finish. ©copyright 2015 Daenna Van Mulligen
