Fresh, light, easy.
This new 66-calorie (per 150ml) unwooded Chardonnay from Yalumba is refreshing but definitely on the watery side; not unexpected for a wine that's only 7% alcohol.
Notes of yellow plum and apples, white flowers and lemon lead to a palate that is citrusy and quaffable. Wines like this have a purpose and while It's not something I would reach for first, I think it's a great lower-alc option and you can really feel the difference when you're drinking it.
