Vina Cobos 'Bramare' Malbec, Lujam de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Generous, supple, complex.
A first for me, the Bramare Malbec, made by Vina Cobos, comes from the heart of Mendoza, Lujan de Cuyo and is from a site averaging 1000MASL. It was aged in new (24%) and second fill French oak for 18 months.
Wild berries encrusted with charred spices, dark chocolate and espresso, dried herbs and hints of pepper, cedar and tobacco are expressed on the nose. The palate is as classic Lujan as the nose, the entry is supple, it has generosity of red berry with dark mocha, salted licorice and savoury spice flavours. Notable complexity and balance. ©copyright 2022 Daenna Van Mulligen
