Owned by the Tommasi family since 1997; Tommasi owns estates in Valpolicella, Montalcio, Lombardy, Basilicata and Puglia. Rompicollo is made from Cabernet and Sangiovese.
It has strong earthy undertones and fragrant overtones of blueberry and black raspberry, star anise and pipe tobacco, leather, carob and charred cedar. It has sweet expressive fruit to mimic the nose and a plush character; it is concentrated, the texture is slick. A wonderfully satisfying red trailing chocolate and coffee flavours.
