Township 7 'Provenance Series' Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Supple, juicy, fresh.
This Chardonnay was predominantly sourced (75%) from Vista Lago Vineyard in Oliver, with small additions from other locations in Oliver. One-half was fermented in neutral French barriques, with the remaining 50% in stainless steel. The wine in barrel then underwent malolactic fermentation to enhance the texture further. Fresh tree fruit aromas are woven with lemon, star-fruit and wet stone. The palate is supple and fresh with s slippery texture and flavours of hazelnut cream, a sprinkle of spice and grilled lemons. Juicy and bright with deft use of oak; it has a very Chablis-like character.
Pair: lobster, cedar planked salmon, creamy chicken dishes, creamy fettucini, grilled white fish, breaded and fried oysters, roast chicken or squash ravioli.
