Gerard Bertrand 'An 806' Grenache~Syrah~Mourvedre, Corbieres France

Second Review: November 2021
Relabeled 'An 806,' this reliable blend showcases the best of the GSM varieties grown in Corbieres' schist, limestone and pebble soils. Notes of licorice and vanilla, cherry cola and leather with sprinklings of white pepper. It's a woven palate, supple and earthy with a juicy character. Pepper, leather, dark cocoa, garrige and toasted spice flavours describe the palate. Classic.

Plush, supple, generous.
A plush blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, that offers aromas of black cherry and licorice, vanilla, baking spices, chocolate, leather, wild berries and earth with undertones of mineral and lavender. It's a supple red, full-bodied and fresh with generous fruit expression along with leather and tobacco flavours. Grip, power and complexity; this wine has it all.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper
