Honest, supple, chocolaty.
Hester Creek was established in 1968 and the Block 2 Merlot vines (some of the oldest in the Okanagan) were planted in the early 70s.
It is chocolaty and spicy, with plums and cherries to add lift and savoury undertones of bacon fat, leather, tobacco and dried sage. Supple and fresh on the nose, this is an honest rendition of Merlot, with good posture and harmony,
Pair: Roast chicken, rack of lamb, hearty vegetable or bean stews.
